About This Tea

Our Premium Silver Needle is an excellent example of this classic tea. Made in Fuding, Fujian, Silver Needle teas are made from only the buds of the tea plant. The long thin buds are covered in trichomes, the small fluffy hairs on the tea. The resulting flavor of our Premium Silver Needle is delicate, sweet, and floral. This tea is a real treat for any tea drinker.

Brewing Instructions

This tea has an exceptional sweetness and complexity when brewed in the gong fu style. We suggest first washing the tea–a quick brew that is then discarded–to allow the leaves to open up. This tea can be brewed 8-10 times in the gong fu style. Be sure to compare each steep (they will vary a lot!). Alternatively, this tea can be brewed in a mug for a stronger flavor.
