Oolong Tea
Gaba Oolong
Gaba Oolong
This rolled oolong was processed to naturally increase Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid, or GABA, which results in a distinct sour note. This pairs well with the floral sweetness that is typical of an oolong from Mae Salong, Thailand.

About This Tea
About This Tea
Our Gaba Oolong, also called Oolong No. 18, is handpicked and grown on Mt. Mae Salong in Chiang Rai, Thailand. Thai oolongs are produced from tea plants that are descendants of Taiwanese cultivars and grown in the high mountain regions of Thailand. The high mountain cultivation of this lovely Gaba Oolong created a crisp sweetness that pairs perfectly with the sour gaba notes.
Origin: Thailand | Tea Style: Loose
Brewing Instructions
Brewing Instructions
We recommend rinsing the tea–a quick brew that is then discarded–to allow the leaves to open up. This tea can be brewed 8-10 times in the gong fu style. Be sure to compare each steep (they will vary a lot!). Alternatively, this tea can also be brewed in a mug. We suggest using an infuser with a large opening to allow the leaves as much room as possible to open up.
