About This Tea
About This Tea
Our Bai Hao Oolong, or White Tip Oolong, is a tightly rolled mix of white and golden-tipped leaves. This is a handpicked tea with a crystal clear liquor and robust sweet and floral flavor. This tea was grown in Doi Mae Salong, Thailand and differs from the standard Bai Hao Oolongs found in Taiwan and China. Doi Mae Salong is known for slightly lower oxidization levels, which highlights the floral notes of this tea. This Bai Hao Oolong is a delicious addition to any tea collection.
Origin: Thailand | Tea Style: Loose
Brewing Instructions
Brewing Instructions
We recommend rinsing the tea–a quick brew that is then discarded–to allow the leaves to open up. This tea can be brewed 8-10 times in the gong fu style. Be sure to compare each steep (they will vary a lot!). Alternatively, this tea can also be brewed in a mug. We suggest using an infuser with a large opening to allow the leaves as much room as possible to open up.
